Base Salary
$155k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer discovery sessions, gather requirements, and define objectives, guardrails, decision scopes, and escalation paths for AI agents.
- Design, develop, review, and deploy custom AI agents, Workday Extend applications, and agentic workflows for customer business needs.
- Use Workday Developer Agent, MCP-compatible tools, and Agent-Ready Tools to build extensions with natural language and code.
- Create technical architectures and integrate agent capabilities across multiple systems using web services and authentication technologies.
- Lead or support the full software implementation lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, and production deployment.
- Explain technical concepts to nontechnical teams and balance multiple customer projects and commitments.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of Workday HCM, Financials, or Student domain experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in data migration, integration development, report building, or software development.
- At least 7 years of experience in technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design.
- At least 3 years of experience in software architecture and design.
- Working knowledge of building custom AI agents and agentic applications on core systems.
- Architectural understanding of decision scopes, prompt engineering, and orchestrating agents across multiple systems.
- Experience defining agent capabilities and integrating them through Model Context Protocol or Agent-Ready Tools.
- Extensive knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAML, X.509, and related authentication and authorization methods.
- Experience implementing Platform-as-a-Service or custom web applications, ideally with Workday HCM, Financial Management, or Student Information Systems.
- Experience leading software, system, or application implementations and understanding AI-agent governance, auditability, and monitoring.
- Excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and multitasking skills.
