Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end across iOS, watchOS, Mac, and shared backend surfaces.
- Build and ship user-facing improvements addressing wearable reliability, cross-platform detection, and agent responsiveness.
- Move between UX, UI, backend, and AI/ML to make feature-specific scope and design tradeoffs.
- Integrate agent and LLM-based features, including tool use, memory, and retrieval, into the app experience.
- Collaborate with an ASR Engineer on shared backend and pipeline surfaces.
- Take features from design through launch and iteration based on real user feedback.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience shipping consumer product features end-to-end across at least two platforms.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS and watchOS, with shipped apps.
- Demonstrate proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Electron for desktop/Mac client development.
- Show genuine capability across UX, UI, backend, and AI/ML.
- Have experience building and integrating agent/LLM-based features into production consumer applications.
- Have experience as one of the first engineers at an early-stage or pre-launch startup, shipping with minimal specification.
- Demonstrate independent UX and scope tradeoff decision-making and implementation.
- Have backend experience building shared services and APIs for multiple client surfaces.
- Experience with real-time or streaming systems such as audio processing or live data pipelines is a strong plus.
- Prior work at an AI-native consumer app or hardware-adjacent startup is a plus.
- Experience with wearable devices, hardware, or robotics product development is a plus.
Benefits
- Salary range is $150,000–$200,000 USD annually.
- Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
