Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for DataHub Cloud and enterprise platform capabilities.
  • Develop reliable APIs, workflows, and distributed services supporting metadata operations, system health, deployment management, and customer-facing platform experiences.
  • Solve technical challenges involving scalability, performance, availability, and distributed systems in partnership with senior engineers.
  • Build features that help customers configure, manage, and operate DataHub across cloud and enterprise environments.
  • Develop capabilities for system health, usage, performance, monitoring, observability, and operational insights.
  • Collaborate with product, design, customer success, and engineering teams to deliver reliable product experiences.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical design discussions.
  • Build self-service workflows, platform services, and resilient capabilities for backup, recovery, scaling, and high-volume data workloads.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping backend, platform, or distributed systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or a similar backend-focused language.
  • Experience designing and building APIs, backend services, distributed workflows, or data-intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with containers and cloud-native technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, API design, and system performance.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, or production-system operations.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, databases, and service reliability.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS products, customer-facing administration or deployment tools, data infrastructure, metadata management, data catalogs, analytics platforms, or data governance is beneficial.
  • Exposure to microservices, service meshes, high-scale distributed architectures, enterprise customers, or customer-facing technical organizations is beneficial.
  • Interest in AI infrastructure, data governance, or the modern data stack is beneficial.
