Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and perform quality assurance for strategic SAP Data Accelerator and Big Data Fabric Services platform capabilities.
- Drive architectural and platform decisions balancing security, scalability, operability, and product evolution.
- Develop cloud-native services using Java, Python, and Go, with potential Rust development.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues and improve reliability, efficiency, scalability, and production readiness.
- Build proofs of concept, evaluate technical options, and shape API-driven control-plane and data-plane capabilities.
- Support secure partner connectivity, SAP data access, multi-tenant service operation, observability, and performance tuning.
- Mentor and guide team members and contribute to technical discussions and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related listed field.
- Advanced or fluent English and strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, programming, algorithms, and data-structures skills.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Python, and/or Go in cloud-native and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Strong networking, secure connectivity, platform engineering, OAuth 2.0, mTLS, multi-tenant design, and proxy or tunnel architecture expertise.
- Experience with production hardening, SRE practices, observability, OpenTelemetry, autoscaling, capacity management, and performance tuning for distributed services.
- Experience with secure software engineering, threat modeling, and automated unit, integration, end-to-end, and scale testing.
- Strong SAP backend integration experience with SAP ERP, ECC or S/4HANA, the NetWeaver stack, and related extensibility patterns.
- Experience shaping secure partner connectivity, SAP data access, API-driven platform capabilities, and control-plane/data-plane architectures.
- Rust development, hands-on ABAP development, SAP add-on or backend-extension development, and AI-assisted or agentic engineering tools are preferred.
