Base Salary
$130k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI agents and agentic workflows integrated with enterprise applications and business processes.
- Develop evaluation, monitoring, guardrail, and safety frameworks for LLM-powered applications.
- Architect scalable AI capabilities within Java/Spring enterprise applications and distributed microservices.
- Establish best practices for observability, testing, deployment, versioning, and operational excellence for AI agent systems.
- Drive architectural decisions across AI services, microservices, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- Collaborate with AI Scientists and ML Engineers to productionize models and convert experimentation into reliable software.
- Mentor engineers, lead architectural reviews, and influence technical strategy across teams.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leadership of complex technical initiatives in distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Experience building scalable, production-grade AI-enabled applications and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying enterprise-scale AI agents, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered applications.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Spring AI, Model Context Protocol, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, tool calling, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.
- Expertise in observability, automated testing, and production operations for AI applications.
- Experience influencing architectural direction, reducing technical risk, and collaborating across functions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Databricks, vector search, embedding models, conversational AI, AI-agent evaluation strategies, AI infrastructure, developer tooling, cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, model serving, inference optimization, caching, and cost optimization.

- The position offers an expected base salary of $130,000 to $190,000, plus a competitive benefits package and eligibility for a discretionary bonus or commission.
