Base Salary
$92k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform infrastructure, including Terraform modules, remote state, and policy-as-code.
- Implement GitOps workflows with Flux or Argo CD for declarative environment management and drift detection.
- Own Kubernetes-as-a-Service platforms, including multi-cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and autoscaling.
- Troubleshoot cloud networking, CNI configurations, ingress controllers, traffic flows, and load balancing.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines and automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Terraform.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, reliability, and cost.
- Manage third-party tools, plugins, internal scripts, technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident response processes while collaborating with application and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on cloud platform experience, especially with AWS; GCP or Azure experience is a plus.
- Advanced Linux expertise, including systemd, cgroups, namespaces, operating-system tuning, and production hardening.
- Deep Kubernetes, cloud networking, CNI, service mesh, ingress, cluster management, and containerized workload experience.
- Expertise with Terraform and infrastructure automation, plus Python and Bash scripting proficiency.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, artifact repositories, monitoring, and logging systems.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VPN, LDAP, VPCs, security groups, and IAM policies.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence; experience with Helm, hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, Vault or AWS Secrets Manager is preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading DevOps initiatives is preferred.
