Base Salary
$92k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform infrastructure, including Terraform modules, remote state, and policy as code.
- Own Kubernetes-as-a-Service platforms through multi-cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and advanced autoscaling.
- Implement GitOps environment management using Flux or Argo CD.
- Troubleshoot cloud networking, CNI configurations, ingress controllers, traffic flows, and load balancing.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, reliability, and cost.
- Manage third-party tools, plugins, internal scripts, technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident response processes.
- Collaborate with application and business teams and contribute to mentoring or DevOps initiative leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform experience, especially AWS; GCP or Azure experience is a plus.
- Advanced Linux expertise, including systemd, cgroups, namespaces, OS tuning, and production hardening.
- Deep Kubernetes and cloud networking knowledge, including CNI plugins, service mesh, and advanced ingress patterns.
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads with EKS and Docker.
- Expertise with Terraform and infrastructure automation, plus proficiency in Python and Bash.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, artifact repositories, monitoring and logging systems such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VPN, LDAP, VPCs, security groups, and IAM policies.
- Comfort working with Agile teams and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with Helm, hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, or secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager is preferred.
