Base Salary
$92k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and manage infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, including Terraform modules, remote state management, and policy-as-code.
- Implement GitOps practices with Flux or Argo CD for declarative environment management and drift detection.
- Own Kubernetes-as-a-Service platforms, including multi-cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and autoscaling.
- Troubleshoot cloud traffic flows and optimize CNI configurations, ingress controllers, load balancing, and cloud networking.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and cost.
- Integrate third-party tools, plugins, and internal scripts; maintain runbooks and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident response processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align infrastructure with application and business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform experience, especially AWS; GCP or Azure experience is a plus.
- Advanced Linux systems expertise, including systemd, cgroups, namespaces, OS tuning, and production hardening.
- Deep Kubernetes and cloud networking knowledge, including CNI plugins, service mesh, and advanced ingress patterns.
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads with EKS and Docker.
- Expertise with Terraform and infrastructure automation, plus Python and Bash scripting proficiency.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, artifact repositories, monitoring and logging systems, and networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and LDAP.
- Experience with DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent monitoring and logging tools.
- Understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, security groups, and IAM policies.
- Comfort working with Agile teams and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with Helm, hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, secrets management, or mentoring engineers is preferred.
