Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Develop and standardize GitLab CI/CD pipelines with reusable jobs, parent/child pipelines, runners, triggers, and integrated security testing.
  • Build and maintain reusable, resilient, secure AWS GovCloud infrastructure using Terraform and other automation.
  • Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for Windows and Linux installation, patching, hardening, configuration, and operational support.
  • Support AWS services and containerized workloads, including EC2, RDS, ECR/EKS, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, and approved hardened container images.
  • Automate security controls, vulnerability remediation, and validation using DoD security and monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot and independently resolve complex infrastructure, pipeline, operating system, networking, container, and security issues.
  • Improve and simplify DevSecOps and cloud capabilities while reducing technical debt and redundant solutions.
  • Collaborate with application, cloud, cybersecurity, and architecture teams to implement solutions supporting ATIS priorities.
  • Maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and reusable patterns for knowledge transfer and team self-sufficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship while remaining hands-on with engineering and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on DevSecOps, cloud, platform, systems, or infrastructure automation experience.
  • Strong production experience with AWS, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Linux administration.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of containers, cloud networking, IAM, and secure infrastructure design.
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity guardrails, vulnerability remediation, and automated security validation in secure or regulated environments.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure, pipeline, operating system, networking, container, and security issues.
  • Strong technical communication, documentation, independent problem-solving, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
  • Active DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Active DoDI 8140-compliant certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM, or ability to obtain.
  • Preferred: AWS GovCloud, NIST, RMF, DoD 8140, DoD authorization and compliance processes, Kubernetes/EKS, ECR, GitOps, containerized application delivery, ACAS, Elastic Agent, CloudWatch agents, ATO activities, SAFe ART, and Army or other mission-critical systems experience.
