Base Salary

$188k - $263k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze software requirements and transform them into scalable technical designs with Technical Leads and Product Managers.
  • Design and develop Python and Java modules, applications, and backend integrations.
  • Develop SEO features involving robots.txt, sitemaps.xml, metadata, and CDN edge computing.
  • Build scalable, reliable, available, and high-performing software products and solutions.
  • Create RESTful and GraphQL APIs and responsive frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Write automated tests and deliver production-quality software in a continuous integration and delivery environment.
  • Drive architecture discussions, document designs, and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Modernize legacy systems and collaborate on implementation schedules and software development goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
  • Five years of experience with Java J2EE software development; Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Azure, and/or Kubernetes.
  • Five years of experience designing, building, and testing highly scalable applications.
  • Five years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and XML frontend technologies.
  • Five years of experience writing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Five years of experience with automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, WireMock, and Cucumber.
  • Five years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Azure SQL Server, and MongoDB.
  • Five years of experience with object-oriented principles, algorithms, database analysis and design, Scrum, sprint and release planning, Jenkins, Kafka, event-driven architecture, microservices, and legacy-system modernization.

Benefits

  • Partial telecommuting is permitted from within a commutable distance of San Jose, California.
  • The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Benefits may include medical, financial, 401(k) eligibility, paid time off, and parental leave.
  • The position may include target bonus and restricted stock units in addition to base pay.
  • The role is an at-will position.
