Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and maintain cloud-based software services and features.
- Analyze requirements and research technologies to identify effective solutions.
- Design and implement defined software components within larger projects using maintainable code.
- Debug and resolve issues in existing software and systems.
- Own assigned projects and components, including task and effort estimation and communication of progress, dependencies, and risks.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and team process improvements.
- Participate in design and code reviews and mentor Engineer I staff.
- Collaborate with QA, security, product, and engineering teams to deliver well-tested solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related software development experience.
- Experience with one or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Java.
- Experience with version control using Git or GitHub.
- Experience with cloud development, preferably AWS.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience with project management or tracking tools such as Jira.
- Knowledge of software development concepts, processes, and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, communication, initiative, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and on teams.
- Preferred experience with identity and access management platforms or concepts, including AWS Cognito/IAM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, Okta, Auth0, or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Preferred experience with React, HTML, CSS, Elasticsearch, MySQL, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
