Base Salary
$90k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure native iOS applications using Swift with limited oversight.
- Architect maintainable mobile codebases using patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and Clean Swift.
- Provide technical leadership and design recommendations for the iOS platform in accordance with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
- Participate in sprint and release planning, artifact creation, testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.
- Solve complex mobile challenges involving offline synchronization, data encryption, and performance optimization.
- Resolve bugs, ensure application quality and timeliness, and provide periodic performance reports.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, product owners, teammates, and end users.
- Mentor and provide code-review guidance to mid-level and junior mobile team members.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a CBP background investigation are required.
- A B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 7 years of related software engineering experience and at least 4 years of hands-on native iOS application development are required.
- Native iOS experience with Swift, Xcode, SwiftUI and/or UIKit, and Cocoa Touch is desired.
- Experience integrating mobile clients with RESTful APIs, web services, backend data stores, and JSON/XML is desired.
- Experience with AVFoundation, full-motion video, or interactive live data streaming is highly desired.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, protocol-oriented programming, asynchronous programming, multithreading, and memory management is desired.
- Experience with Git or GitFlow, mobile CI/CD pipelines, App Store Connect, and TestFlight is desired.
- Experience with Android development using Kotlin or Java, cross-platform frameworks, CoreData or SQLite, AWS, and live interactive chat features is desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical mobile concepts to nontechnical stakeholders are desired.
