Base Salary

$75k - $158k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Architect maintainable mobile codebases using MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture patterns.
  • Provide Android platform technical leadership and design recommendations aligned with Google Material Design guidelines.
  • Participate in sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint and regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and releases.
  • Solve mobile challenges involving offline synchronization, local data encryption, battery optimization, and memory management.
  • Resolve defects, ensure application quality and delivery timeliness, and provide performance reports.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, product owners, and end users.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level mobile developers and provide code-review guidance.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a CBP background investigation are required.
  • A B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of related software engineering experience and at least 4 years of dedicated hands-on native Android development are required.
  • Experience with Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose or XML layouts, and RESTful APIs is desired.
  • Experience with ExoPlayer, full-motion video, interactive live data streaming, asynchronous programming, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, or RxJava is desired.
  • Experience with Git or GitFlow, mobile software development lifecycle practices, secure local storage, Jetpack Security, and secure network communication is desired.
  • Experience with iOS development using Swift and Xcode, Ionic, React Native, Room, SQLite, or other mobile databases is desired.
  • Experience establishing mobile CI/CD pipelines with Fastlane, Gradle, Jenkins, or GitLab CI and managing Google Play Console or Firebase App Distribution is desired.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and live interactive chat features is desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical mobile concepts to nontechnical stakeholders are desired.
