Base Salary
$190k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate agent-based software with tools, memory, and stateful workflows using LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
- Build and maintain LLM and agent evaluation pipelines, including offline evaluation suites, regression tests, tool-call and trajectory scoring, golden datasets, and actionable dashboards.
- Lead React frontend development with component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
- Design and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and data models using Java with Spring Boot and Python.
- Contribute to multi-tenant infrastructure, authentication, asynchronous messaging, and modern service architecture.
- Support iOS applications through UI, networking, push notifications, and release management.
- Drive code quality, testing discipline, engineering standards, code review, and design feedback.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product, design, management, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production software at scale.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping real LLM and agent applications, including tool interfaces, multi-step workflows, agent-loop failure handling, and production systems.
- Direct experience building agent evaluation systems with golden datasets, offline evaluations, tool-call and trajectory scoring, and evaluation-driven prompt, model, and architecture improvements.
- Strong React skills, including state management, component design, and performance optimization.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot skills, plus working proficiency in Python.
- Experience with relational database design, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and modern service architecture.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: LangGraph or comparable orchestration experience; iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI, App Store releases, and APNs; multi-provider LLM work with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI; MCP servers or clients; Redis Streams; multi-tenant SaaS, RBAC, and authentication; on-device iOS ML with CoreML or NLContextualEmbedding; audio pipelines with Whisper or TTS; and Palantir Foundry experience.
