Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS and on-premises infrastructure supporting business-critical applications.
- Deploy and manage applications across AWS and on-premises Kubernetes environments.
- Build Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, testing, and releases.
- Configure AWS networking, DNS, load balancing, security, application hosting, and platform integrations.
- Maintain secure connectivity between AWS services, Kong Gateway, and on-premises Kubernetes platforms.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, performance tracking, and other observability capabilities.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, platform, and application issues across hybrid cloud environments.
- Manage shared engineering platforms including GitLab, Nexus, Vault, Harbor, Jenkins, and Digital.ai.
- Perform platform patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management.
- Support application onboarding, deployment, upgrades, and operational readiness.
- Create documentation, operational procedures, technical designs, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Strong production experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services covering networking, load balancing, DNS, security, and application hosting.
- Strong expertise with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience using Ansible for configuration management, automation, and platform provisioning.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments spanning AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
- Experience with API gateways and ingress technologies such as Kong Gateway.
- Understanding of DNS, routing, load balancing, TLS certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience managing DevOps tools such as GitLab, Nexus, Harbor, Vault, Jenkins, and similar platforms.
- Experience with platform upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Ability to understand end-to-end application architecture and support services throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
