Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client technology and business teams to select appropriate technologies.
  • Implement features across frontend applications, backend servers, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Develop backend services and build CI/CD pipelines when required by projects.
  • Debug software, contribute to design and architecture, and perform other software development tasks.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and project teams across the software development lifecycle.
  • Engage with client stakeholders when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience across a broad range of software development areas, including backend, frontend, operations, and consulting.
  • Several years of experience are typically needed to develop the required competencies, although there is no hard experience limit.
  • Experience with at least one common server-side programming language, such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Clojure, or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one client-side language and framework, such as TypeScript/JavaScript with React or Swift, Java, Scala, Kotlin, and TypeScript/JavaScript with React Native for mobile development.
  • Skills in creating backend services and building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Foundational DevOps knowledge, including continuous integration, automated deployment, and test automation.
  • Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Fluent verbal and written English; Finnish skills are advantageous.
  • Comfort working with both backend and frontend development and understanding infrastructure’s role in everyday software development.
