Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead applied research and development for AI models and datasets.
- Build strong relationships with customer data science and ML engineering teams.
- Design, train, and ship production classifiers for safety and quality detection.
- Develop synthetic and adversarial dataset pipelines.
- Drive the technical direction of generative insights for AI applications.
- Contribute to evaluation and experimentation infrastructure.
- Explore reinforcement learning and preference-based methods.
- Collaborate with engineers to transition research prototypes to production.
- Translate enterprise customer needs into research problems and vice versa.
- Mentor AI Scientists and represent Fiddler through publications and talks.
Requirements
- 7+ years of applied AI experience with a track record of production models.
- Experience in LLM or Agentic Evals and Guardrailing.
- Deep expertise in training and fine-tuning classifier models.
- Hands-on experience with dataset development and quality control.
- Strong applied experience with LLMs and agentic systems.
- Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks like PyTorch.
- Comfortable in production environments and real-time inference.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
