Base Salary
$205k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and ship ML systems for governance and security use cases such as prompt injection detection, behavioral anomaly detection, trust scoring, and policy recommendations.
- Build data pipelines, feature stores, model serving, evaluation harnesses, and feedback loops.
- Use frontier models, off-the-shelf tools, and managed services while developing custom systems where they provide durable advantage.
- Set technical direction for ML architecture, evaluation methodology, model lifecycle, and production quality standards.
- Ship initial intelligence capabilities to customers and establish the team’s technical foundations.
- Help recruit, mentor, and shape the growing team.
- Participate in a potential 24/7 on-call rotation for the Agentic Platform and take pager responsibility for owned services.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of deep applied ML/AI experience shipping production systems.
- At least 8 years of professional, hands-on, full-time software engineering experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience owning ML system infrastructure such as data pipelines, model serving, evaluation, and monitoring, with end-to-end customer-facing product delivery.
- Production experience with LLM-based systems, including evaluation, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval, guardrails, and agent frameworks.
- Familiarity with the agent and MCP ecosystem.
- Experience in fraud, abuse, safety, security, or trust domains is valuable.
- Ability to make build-versus-buy decisions and work effectively in an early-stage environment with incomplete information.
- Strong collaboration and written communication skills.
