Responsibilities
- Define and drive the roadmap for agent-based platform capabilities based on measurable outcomes, reliability, and usability.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of agent platform components, including software development kits, reference implementations, and integration patterns.
- Align requirements and trade-offs with product, engineering, risk, and control stakeholders and unblock execution.
- Establish quality, performance, monitoring, testing, and incident-readiness standards for agent workloads.
- Drive architecture decisions, scalable designs, and repeatable deployment practices that move experimentation into production.
- Embed governance, privacy, and model risk considerations into platform design and responsible development practices.
- Mentor team members through technical coaching, design reviews, and improvements to engineering practices.
- Communicate technical strategy and progress to senior stakeholders using clear, data-informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in applied artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience building and operating production software systems that integrate machine learning capabilities.
- Strong programming ability in at least one modern language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX, along with model lifecycle tooling.
- Experience designing platforms or shared services for multiple teams, including interfaces, documentation, and developer experience.
- Working knowledge of cloud and container orchestration concepts such as Kubernetes, plus performance or reliability engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to lead through influence, drive technical alignment, and deliver outcomes across cross-functional partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including clarifying ambiguity, evaluating trade-offs, and making technical decisions.
- Preferred experience with agent-based systems, orchestration patterns, agent development tooling, or evaluation frameworks.
- Preferred experience designing scalable inference or model-serving architectures and optimizing latency, throughput, and cost.
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices, model risk, governance-by-design, and regulated financial services use cases.
- Preferred contributions to widely used open-source software in machine learning or infrastructure ecosystems.
