Base Salary
$139k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and ship ML systems for governance and security capabilities.
- Build supporting infrastructure including data pipelines and model serving.
- Make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions to enhance development speed.
- Set technical direction for the team's ML work and own the architecture.
- Recruit, mentor, and shape the team as it grows.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for the Agentic Platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of deep applied ML/AI expertise with a track record of shipping production systems.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or platform engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building and owning systems around ML models, including data pipelines and monitoring.
- Fluency with modern AI tools and understanding of when to use frontier models.
- Experience with LLM-based systems in production.
- Familiarity with the agent/MCP ecosystem.
- Ability to thrive in an early-stage environment with incomplete information.
- Collaborative and low-ego approach to teamwork.
