Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and evolve the internal AI Engineering Platform and services supporting AI-assisted and Agentic Engineering practices.
- Develop secure, reliable, reusable platform services for AI tooling, developer enablement, observability, automation, and engineering governance.
- Design and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure using OpenTofu or Terraform.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Create self-service automation and reusable capabilities that improve engineering workflows and developer experience.
- Own or evolve RAG knowledgebase systems, observability, package management, code quality tooling, and GitHub Copilot enablement services.
- Implement monitoring, telemetry, logging, tracing, and metrics; troubleshoot issues and support production platform services.
- Collaborate with engineering managers, architects, platform engineers, and software teams to drive platform adoption and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging AI engineering technologies and contribute to platform direction and governance.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Experience building or operating shared engineering platforms or internal developer platforms, with a strong understanding of platform automation and engineering enablement.
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience and experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
- Experience using OpenTofu or Terraform for infrastructure as code and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with experience designing reusable automation solutions.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus, including telemetry, logging, distributed tracing, and production support.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices and experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, internal developer platforms, developer experience capabilities, SonarQube, package management platforms, and engineering governance tooling.
- Familiarity with vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Large Language Models, AI engineering platforms, and enterprise service management practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement skills.
