Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain functional, regression, integration, and system test cases and scripts.
- Create and enhance automated tests for recurring scenarios and critical product workflows.
- Analyze requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while supporting root cause analysis.
- Validate features, enhancements, bug fixes, and release candidates across applicable web, mobile, API, and platform applications.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve test strategies, environments, and release quality.
- Maintain test documentation, test data, and traceability between requirements and coverage.
- Support API, database, and end-to-end testing as needed.
- Contribute to QA process, automation framework, and testing standard improvements.
- Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance on test execution, defect documentation, and quality practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software development.
- Working knowledge of software development and testing lifecycles and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience designing and executing manual and automated test cases.
- Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar test automation tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, and client-server or microservices architecture is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
