Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, testing, and automation of scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Clean, prepare, and analyze structured and unstructured data with data engineers and scientists.
- Support model training, evaluation, deployment, implementation, and production monitoring workflows.
- Analyze pharmaceutical commercial datasets and contribute to data-driven insights.
- Design informative visualizations and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Apply statistical techniques including hypothesis testing, regression, and classification.
- Document technical processes, models, and tools and experiment with data engineering and MLOps techniques.
- Participate in team workflow activities including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old and available to work full time in the United States for the internship duration.
- Have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Be enrolled in an accredited MBA, Master’s, PharmD, or Ph.D. program and complete the first year before the internship begins.
- Remain enrolled in an accredited college or university after the internship and be available to commit to future full-time employment by July 2028 if offered.
- Preferred qualifications include first-year Master’s coursework in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; one or more years of relevant experience; and biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience.
- Have foundational Python or R experience with data manipulation, visualization, and machine learning libraries, plus basic SQL and relational or big-data querying experience.
- Have exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure and familiarity with Git, Databricks, Apache Spark, or Apache Airflow.
- Preferred coursework or interest includes NLP, time-series analysis, statistical modeling, database modeling, software development, cloud application management, and enterprise systems.
- Demonstrate analytical, quantitative, communication, interpersonal, project management, initiative, adaptability, and independent-working skills.
