Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to position Mapbox’s technical value.
- Lead technical discovery to understand customer goals and requirements.
- Design and present scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs and APIs.
- Respond to technical customer requests with clear documentation and proposals.
- Provide technical guidance during the pre-sales cycle through workshops and demos.
- Drive customer success by accelerating time-to-value and supporting adoption.
- Advocate for customer needs and provide feedback to influence product direction.
- Stay current on mapping, mobility, and AI technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years in solutions architecture or customer-facing engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of web and mobile technologies like JavaScript, Android, and iOS.
- Experience building applications that integrate back-end APIs and front-end SDKs.
- Familiarity with GIS, location intelligence, and geospatial data is a plus.
- Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Strong business acumen and ability to work autonomously across teams.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and executive audiences.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and events.
