Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement core systems and technical designs for future EA SPORTS NHL games.
  • Lead cross-functional technical execution across multiple platforms in partnership with development, production, design, art, and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Frostbite engine creators and integrate new technology into the NHL title.
  • Mentor and guide a team of 5+ engineers from technical discovery through final integration.
  • Champion code quality, performance, stability, and runtime optimization.
  • Identify and attract high-performing engineering talent.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and establish responsible coding and workflow guidelines.

Requirements

  • Passion for gaming and interactive entertainment.
  • Proven technical leadership and experience mentoring a team of 5+ engineers.
  • Experience evaluating emerging AI technologies and leading tool and workflow transformation.
  • Experience educating teams on safe and high-impact AI usage.
  • Excellent C++ skills and a strong portfolio designing and architecting complex object-oriented software.
  • Ability to turn a high-level vision into strong execution.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
  • Professional software or game development experience; experience with large, multiplatform codebases is a plus.
  • Understanding of memory management, multithreading, and runtime optimization.
