Base Salary
$76k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Document assigned portions of business requirements and participate in requirements elicitation.
- Facilitate software design discussions and document technical design decisions.
- Develop and integrate Mainframe application features and updates using COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
- Conduct code reviews, modify codebases, and maintain code repositories.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks.
- Troubleshoot production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
- Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.
- Participate in end-to-end SDLC and project lifecycle activities across development and maintenance projects.
Requirements
- Experience with Mainframe technologies and software design and development.
- Experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and project lifecycle activities.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues, performance tuning, and system optimization is preferred.
- Strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive specialty experience in lieu of each year of education.
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship.
