Base Salary
$76k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Document assigned business requirements and participate in software application design discussions.
- Develop, modify, integrate, and review mainframe application code while maintaining code repositories.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, coordinate bug fixes, and support software quality.
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for new applications.
- Resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
- Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for project knowledge bases.
- Participate across requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Experience with mainframe technologies and software design and development using COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and project lifecycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
- Experience with Easytrieve is preferred.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive specialty experience in lieu of each year of education.
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.
