Base Salary
$204k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect improvements to the existing Bazel installation and remote build/cache infrastructure.
- Set the technical roadmap for software build system reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve build performance bottlenecks to accelerate development velocity.
- Drive organizational alignment on build system investments across multiple teams.
- Serve as the technical authority on build systems, mentoring senior engineers.
- Partner with Security to optimize build processes related to base images.
- Ensure a commitment to craft and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Metrics-driven approach with a track record of delivering quantifiable impact.
- Expertise in Bazel and concepts like action graph and dependency analysis.
- Strong ability to review code and drive cross-organizational decisions.
