Responsibilities
- Architect and build production AI and agentic AI solutions involving agent orchestration, tool integration, retrieval-augmented generation, and autonomous workflows.
- Design, deploy, and operate secure microservice applications on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Apply security practices across application, API, container, identity, and data layers.
- Establish architectural patterns and engineering practices for organization-wide AI delivery.
- Lead design and code reviews and mentor engineers.
- Promote measurable reliability, guardrails, and production operational quality for agentic systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of related experience, master's degree plus 8 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production applications with Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, deploying, and operating microservice applications on a public cloud platform such as AWS.
- At least 3 years of experience running containerized workloads in Kubernetes in production.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building generative AI or large language model applications, including a production system using retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or tool and function calling.
- A master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise-scale agentic AI platforms, agent orchestration, multi-agent workflows, AI security, guardrails, policy enforcement, evaluation, and observability.
- Preferred experience includes LangGraph, LangChain, Model Context Protocol, or Semantic Kernel.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence architecture across organizational boundaries through patents, publications, open-source contributions, or major engineering initiatives.
