Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction for an ML product domain, including problem framing, approach selection, evaluation strategy, and iteration.
- Build scalable data preparation, feature engineering, training, and inference pipelines for batch and near-real-time ML applications.
- Develop, evaluate, deploy, and operate predictive and recommendation models and APIs serving enterprise applications.
- Implement MLOps practices for training, testing, versioning, deployment, monitoring, retraining, rollback, and artifact tracking.
- Monitor data quality, model performance, drift, latency, reliability, and operational issues, including incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Define reusable patterns for feature pipelines, backfills, schema evolution, training/serving consistency, data governance, and responsible ML.
- Conduct design reviews, improve code and documentation standards, mentor engineers, and unblock delivery across teams.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, and platform teams to connect ML work to measurable product and transaction outcomes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, data engineering, or software engineering, including leading technical direction for ML or data systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Python and SQL skills with production practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Experience owning model development and evaluation, including metric selection, error analysis, experimentation, and validation.
- Experience shipping and operating production ML systems, including monitoring, rollback, retraining, and coordination with upstream data and feature pipelines.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and data tooling such as Spark, dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
- Familiarity with data warehouse or lakehouse concepts, orchestration and ETL tools, feature pipelines or feature stores, and batch or streaming data systems.
- Preferred experience with personalization, recommendations, ranking, forecasting, NLP, experimentation, A/B testing, feature stores, observability, responsible AI, data privacy, Docker, Kubernetes, and production workflow tooling.
- Demonstrated technical-lead behaviors, including design reviews, standards-setting, mentoring, stakeholder alignment, and leading through influence.
Benefits
- Annual base pay range is $171,000–$198,000 USD, with an annual incentive reference value of 30%; compensation figures are excluded from benefits classification.

- The role is located in Atlanta, United States, requires 0%–25% travel, and provides relocation assistance.
