Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments.
- Support log ingestion, normalization, filtering, troubleshooting, and security platform maintenance.
- Monitor, validate, and investigate alerts using SIEM, EDR, XDR, and related security platforms.
- Develop, tune, and maintain detection rules, security use cases, and threat signatures.
- Investigate suspicious activity and identify detection, mitigation, and response improvements.
- Reduce false positives and improve alert quality and response efficiency.
- Administer Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Purview, and Jira.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams while managing priorities independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, or infrastructure.
- Experience with security monitoring platforms, including SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP, or UEBA.
- Knowledge of detection engineering, rule writing, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Cyber Kill Chain.
- Understanding of threat actors and attack techniques including phishing, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and data exfiltration.
- Experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including identity, logging, and network controls.
- Experience with Azure VMs, Load Balancer, Terraform, Kubernetes, Linux, Python, Ansible, Syslog, Logstash, CrowdStrike, and Elastic.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Security-related certification such as CEH, GCIH, GCTI, or GCFE is an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience is required.
