Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and productionisation of machine learning models for customer support and high-stakes decision systems.
- Build monitoring, evaluation, and alerting frameworks to identify model underperformance, drift, and unexpected behaviour in real time.
- Partner with Product Managers to translate ambiguous customer problems into scalable machine learning solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and establish standards for ML quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate models into high-performance, scalable systems.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist with the ability to write high-quality production code in Python.
- Experience productionising Generative AI workstreams or Agentic AI projects, including deep understanding of LLMs, transformers, and fine-tuning.
- Experience deploying and managing models with Docker, Kubernetes, and CircleCI.
- Strong foundational knowledge of traditional machine learning and evaluation techniques.
- Experience mentoring peers and solving complex real-world problems at scale.
- Preferred experience with Generative AI evaluation harnesses and frameworks.
- Preferred familiarity with observability, monitoring, and safety techniques for deployed Generative AI systems.
- Preferred experience with strongly typed languages such as Go.
