Responsibilities
- Own architecture for high-scale, cloud-native platforms used globally.
- Build and evolve Java and Spring Boot microservices ecosystems on AWS.
- Lead engineering teams technically while remaining hands-on in architecture and coding.
- Integrate and scale AI/GenAI capabilities, with AWS Bedrock preferred, into production products.
- Partner with Product Management, Customer Operations, global teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Drive engineering excellence across DevOps, Azure DevOps CI/CD, security, and reliability.
- Influence technical direction across teams and mentor engineers through standards and example.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience; stated alternatives include high school plus 15 years, associate degree plus 11 years, M.S. plus 4 years, or PhD plus 3 years.
- Seven years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Proven experience building and scaling cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
- Experience integrating or scaling AI/GenAI solutions; AWS Bedrock experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technically while staying hands-on.
- Experience working across global teams and with senior stakeholders.
- Fluent ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Helm, container platforms, API security, system design at scale, digital health, or regulated environments.
