$149k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical architect for the largest and most strategic Key Account, Strategic Enterprise, and Government opportunities, owning the full pre-sales cycle from discovery through handoff.
- Build relationships with CIO, CISO, and VP Engineering buyers across complex enterprise deal cycles.
- Develop ROI narratives, independently model value, and position BetterUp’s platform for CFO and COO audiences.
- Anticipate integration, security, and platform feasibility challenges and provide structured recommendations and tradeoffs to deal teams and Product.
- Create and maintain reusable SE assets including industry blueprints, scaled demo archetypes, and integration pattern catalogs.
- Lead the Solutions Engineering function’s AI and automation strategy and embed successful pilots into team-wide practices.
- Coach SEs on business-driven deals, non-HR buyer relationships, and complex multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.
- Serve as the senior individual-contributor technical voice in go-to-market planning, SE function design, and platform roadmap discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting in enterprise SaaS.
- Multiple years owning the most complex deals at an organization.
- Active relationships with CIO, CISO, or VP Engineering buyers and a track record of closing deals where IT or Finance was the primary champion.
- Deep fluency across HRIS, LMS, SSO, and API-based integration ecosystems at the architecture level.
- Expert command of enterprise security posture, data residency, and compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Ability to independently build ROI narratives and business cases for CFO and COO audiences.
- Experience building SE infrastructure such as playbooks, blueprint libraries, training programs, and integration pattern catalogs.
- Proficiency using Claude, Figma Make, and Python prototyping for blueprint generation, demo automation, and proof-of-concept development.
- Track record of mentoring and developing junior SEs and contributing to the maturity of an SE function.
