Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and distributed systems with emphasis on reliability, security, and scalability.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and support reliable application deployments.
- Monitor applications, apply observability and anomaly-detection techniques, and improve availability and resiliency.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities or third-party AI services into backend applications where applicable.
- Develop automated testing frameworks and apply AI-driven testing techniques where appropriate.
- Optimize database queries, tune performance, conduct root cause analysis, and provide production support.
- Lead system design, code reviews, coding-standards enforcement, and adoption of modern engineering practices.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product-management teams.
- Assess technical risks and ensure alignment with security, regulatory, organizational, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience building and designing robust backend systems.
- Mandatory experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
