Responsibilities
- Build LLM application services in Python using prompt strategies, tool/function calling, and workflow orchestration.
- Implement RAG ingestion and retrieval foundations, including chunking, metadata, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, and re-ranking.
- Define grounding approaches and deterministic query generation with semantic-layer alignment, schema validation, and guardrails.
- Implement query execution patterns with caching, error handling, and safe fallback behaviors.
- Build and maintain REST/gRPC API layers with authentication, authorization, and request auditing.
- Establish evaluation, LLMOps, observability, regression testing, versioning, and incident-response practices.
- Collaborate with data and platform teams while meeting security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Strong Python engineering skills including clean architecture, testing, packaging, and performance optimization.
- Production LLM application or advanced proof-of-concept experience using major LLM APIs or hosted models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, or open-weight models.
- Hands-on experience implementing RAG, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and agent or workflow systems.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
- Solid ML fundamentals covering embeddings, vector search, evaluation methods, and common failure modes.
- API engineering experience with FastAPI or Flask, including asynchronous patterns and integration-focused design.
- Cloud-native delivery experience with containers, serverless or Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD, observability, and secure engineering practices.
- Knowledge of LLM security mitigations including prompt injection, jailbreaks, and data leakage.
