Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Explain complex blockchain and technical concepts to business partners and non-engineers.
- Evaluate blockchain architectures, smart-contract frameworks, tokenization methodologies, platforms, execution environments, and vendor infrastructure.
- Research opportunities involving digital identity, decentralized finance, tokenized securities, interoperability, and digital assets.
- Contribute to blockchain and digital-assets strategy through whitepapers, presentations, and internal education.
- Operate permissioned EVM networks, including validator configuration, node infrastructure, observability, transaction signing, and upgrades.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy smart contracts for tokenized instruments and lifecycle events.
- Implement on-chain compliance controls such as allowlists, role-based permissions, and transfer restrictions.
- Integrate blockchain activity with ledgers, order systems, and authoritative systems of record through event listeners and reconciliation pipelines.
- Document experiments, results, limitations, and production-readiness considerations.
- Collaborate with product, operations, risk, compliance, industry consortia, regulators, and technology partners.
- Support adjacent R&D initiatives involving AI/ML, cloud-native design, spatial computing, and digital identity or trust.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with production ownership of designed systems.
- 3+ years of experience in blockchain development, crypto-asset management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Layer 2 solutions, blockchain architectures, and crypto wallet infrastructure.
- Experience running blockchain infrastructure, including permissioned or consortium networks such as Besu or Quorum.
- Experience with secure wallet solutions and key management involving MPC, HSMs, cold storage, and custodial or non-custodial models.
- Familiarity with tokenized assets, securities, stablecoins, and ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 smart contracts.
- Working knowledge of Ethereum and the EVM, including gas mechanics, storage layout, proxy and upgrade patterns, and failure modes.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Solidity, Rust, Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with cryptographic protocols, DeFi applications, and blockchain interoperability solutions.
- Strong analytical, technical communication, research, and technical-position-defense skills.
- Preferred: full-stack product development, fintech or financial-institution experience, and knowledge of SEC, FINRA, AML/KYC, or MiCA frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized identity, CBDCs, cross-chain messaging, interoperability protocols, financial-services infrastructure, or adjacent emerging technologies.
