Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for a state-of-the-art radar platform.
- Work with electronic, VHDL, FPGA, firmware, and hardware engineers to test and commission a complex multi-unit system.
- Implement low-level software, multicore programming, memory management, device drivers, code optimization, and interrupt-driven designs.
- Debug, diagnose, integrate, and deploy software across distributed hardware platforms.
- Develop solutions for Arm and Intel multicore processing platforms using relevant communication protocols.
- Mentor, coach, teach, and share knowledge with other software engineers.
- Contribute to software features, data gathering, problem diagnosis, and continuous updates.
Requirements
- Strong low-level embedded C programming skills and a solid grasp of C++.
- Experience testing and integrating software with VHDL/Verilog firmware and hardware.
- Excellent debugging skills and experience applying varied debugging strategies.
- Experience with RTOSs such as VxWorks or embedded Linux.
- Experience with distributed hardware deployment, multicore programming, memory management, device drivers, code optimization, and interrupt-driven designs.
- Good understanding of electronics, schematic design, and test equipment.
- Experience developing for ARM and Intel-based multicore processing platforms.
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, USB, Serial, Network, and PCIe communication protocols.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, defect tracking, and peer review.
- Experience working with firmware and hardware engineers to develop embedded solutions is advantageous.
- Knowledge of DO-178C and MISRA C/C++ coding standards is advantageous.
- Experience with requirements management tools, Agile development, Atlassian tools, Internet of Things systems, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment is advantageous.
- Must be eligible for full security clearance.
