Responsibilities
- Develop software for the Eurofighter Typhoon programme across the full software lifecycle.
- Program in Ada and create high-quality, robust code.
- Document and record work products, maintain configuration management, and provide plans and progress reports.
- Prepare and present technical reports, documents, and presentations to project stakeholders.
- Follow project plans, identify key elements, and report clear progress to software and project management.
- Work with Software & Systems and rooflab integration teams to investigate and resolve complex system integration problems.
Requirements
- Good-quality industry experience and the ability to work autonomously at a senior level.
- Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle.
- Willingness to work in a small, multidisciplinary Integrated Project Team.
- Preferably recent industry experience using Ada.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence in software delivery environments.
- Java experience is useful for learning Ada.
- Experience developing software for embedded systems.
- Experience in a heavily regulated industry such as Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Oil and Gas, or Financial services is advantageous.
- The role requires pre-employment BPSS screening and may require eligibility for additional UK National Security Vetting, including SC or DV.
