Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design discussions covering APIs, databases, caching, messaging, resilience, and observability.
- Design end-to-end, scalable, maintainable, secure, cloud-native applications and AWS solutions.
- Develop strategies and architectures for cloud data lakes and processing frameworks supporting real-time and near-real-time ingestion, processing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Evaluate software patterns, tools, and frameworks through proof-of-concepts.
- Establish architectural best practices, maintain technical documentation and diagrams, and support knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with product owners, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders on technical decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead engineering efforts across teams.
- Support off-hours incident response when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, including 3+ years in system or application design.
- Strong foundation in Spring Boot, Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience designing and deploying large-scale, multi-region cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS.
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures, containers such as EKS and ECS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to lead engineering teams and cross-functional projects and communicate complex technical decisions effectively.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience conducting architecture reviews, presenting design proposals, and building hands-on proof-of-concepts is preferred.
- Finance-domain business process automation experience is preferred.
