Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end integration architecture, including Boomi runtime topology, environment strategy, deployment models, and reference architectures.
- Establish enterprise integration standards, reusable frameworks, design patterns, governance processes, and architecture documentation.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, code review, and production support of Boomi integrations.
- Architect integrations among enterprise applications including NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle ERP/HCM, ServiceNow, and third-party systems.
- Define API strategy and lifecycle standards covering REST/SOAP design, versioning, authentication, security, and API gateway usage.
- Design data mapping, transformation, validation, EDI, database, file-based, messaging, and event-driven integration approaches.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, error-handling, incident-management, and root-cause-analysis standards.
- Own integration-platform performance, scalability, capacity planning, licensing, connector consumption, and total-cost-of-ownership considerations.
- Define integration security architecture, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection.
- Lead current-state assessments, target-state designs, and migration roadmaps from legacy or competing iPaaS platforms to Boomi.
- Partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, QA teams, project managers, and senior client stakeholders to create solution designs and recommendations.
- Provide estimates, solution options, level-of-effort inputs, and technical design contributions for proposals and statements of work.
- Mentor developers at multiple levels, chair design and architecture review boards, and provide technical direction across delivery teams.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of enterprise application integration experience and at least 5 years of hands-on Boomi design and development experience.
- Advanced English communication skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale, multi-system Boomi programs across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience owning integration architecture across multiple workstreams, mentoring developers and senior developers, and defining enterprise-level standards and best practices.
- Experience with code reviews, deployment management, production support, SLA-driven support models, incident management, troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience presenting architecture and solution recommendations to senior client stakeholders and collaborating with business and technical teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with the Boomi Enterprise Platform and its Integration, API Management, DataHub/Master Data Hub, Flow, EDI, Event Streams, and AgentStudio capabilities.
- Expertise designing integrations with REST APIs, SOAP services, webhooks, event-driven architectures, batch, real-time, pub/sub, and API-led patterns.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle ERP/HCM, and ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of API lifecycle management, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Basic Authentication, SAML, and API Gateway concepts.
- Experience with XML, JSON, CSV, flat files, XSLT, data transformation, and database integrations using SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS SQS, and AWS SNS.
- Experience with EDI transaction processing, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for integration deployments and experience with Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking, identity, and hosting considerations for integration runtimes.
- Ability to design scalable, reusable, and maintainable integration frameworks and produce solution design documents, sequence diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and interface specifications.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Boomi Architect, Boomi Professional Developer, Boomi Professional Integration Developer, Boomi API Management, or Boomi Master Data Hub certification is required or strongly preferred; MuleSoft, TOGAF, or other iPaaS and architecture certifications are a plus.
- Consulting or client-facing experience is required.
