Base Salary
$150k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own one or more projects across product- or platform-facing teams
- Architect scalable systems and design latency-sensitive applications for globally deployed intercoms
- Design and develop robust backend APIs and complex systems
- Drive technical direction and lead teams on project execution
- Take product ideas from early definition through completion and launch
- Collaborate with mobile, frontend, and cross-functional teams to build workplace products
- Resolve problems that span team boundaries and own backend systems end-to-end
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related science field
- At least 4 years of industry backend software engineering experience
- At least 2 years of professional backend engineering experience at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company
- Experience driving technical direction and leading teams through project execution
- Experience architecting scalable systems and latency-sensitive applications
- Experience designing complex systems with simple and robust backend APIs
- Significant product-shipping experience and the ability to own backend systems end-to-end
- Deep expertise with relational databases; Postgres experience is a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in Python or GoLang
- Kubernetes experience is a plus
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week
