Base Salary
$120k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales support and own technical sales opportunities from discovery through validation, deployment, and continuous adoption.
- Architect and implement cloud and edge computing solutions for customers, including IaaS solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, product, professional services, marketing, partners, and global technical teams.
- Lead innovation in solutions and products, identify trends, and influence the global product roadmap.
- Build technical expertise and thought leadership in Akamai Cloud and Linode.
- Communicate complex technical concepts through writing, speaking, and presentations to technical and business audiences.
Requirements
- Have 8 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or related engineering roles.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Have extensive customer-facing experience in technical roles with cloud-related organizations.
- Demonstrate successful experience architecting IaaS solutions for customers.
- Hold professional certifications from AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle, or CNCF.
- Have hands-on expertise in at least three relevant domains, including Kubernetes, cloud networking, databases, storage, AI, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tooling, gaming, or media streaming.
- Have hands-on experience with Apache Web Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, and Terraform.
- Be proficient in modern development practices, APIs, databases, observability tools, and automation.
