Responsibilities
- Own the production agent fleet, including reliability, monitoring, incident triage, and continuous improvement.
- Build and deploy new agents and capabilities using the company’s standard open-source agent framework.
- Design prompts, tools, evaluations, output-quality scoring, cost tracking, and failure-mode analysis.
- Integrate the self-hosted agent memory layer while maintaining one-way data lineage from BigQuery into agent memory.
- Migrate existing agents to the company-run cloud runtime without disrupting live Slack workflows.
- Build integrations with LLM APIs, MCP, Shopify, marketing and analytics APIs, and n8n automation workflows.
- Implement permissions, approval gates, governance, and human-in-the-loop routing for compliance-sensitive processes.
- Deploy and operate production systems using Docker and GCP.
- Use and help standardize AI-assisted development with Claude Code and Cursor.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong production Python.
- Experience shipping and operating systems with real users, including logging, testing, and monitoring.
- Required experience building and shipping LLM-powered systems or agents using model APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI.
- Experience with tool use or function calling, structured outputs, prompt design, context management, evaluation, cost analysis, and failure-mode analysis.
- Integration experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party platform APIs.
- Solid SQL experience; BigQuery experience is a plus.
- Production ownership skills including observability, defensive error handling, graceful degradation, and cost awareness.
- Enough infrastructure experience to deploy and operate personal work using Docker and cloud platforms, especially GCP.
- Working proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of Armenian is a bonus.
- Experience with agent memory systems, RAG, vector stores, open-source agent frameworks, TypeScript or JavaScript, Shopify or DTC e-commerce, n8n, marketing data, or attribution data is preferred but not required.
