Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new Kotlin language features.
- Implement and fine-tune intermediate representation lowering passes.
- Investigate and resolve complex compiler bugs and edge cases.
- Improve compiler performance and memory usage.
- Collaborate with Kotlin teams to shape language evolution.
- Maintain and improve compiler infrastructure, including IR and AST transformations, Klibs, and backward compatibility.
- Make architectural decisions and take ownership of compiler pipeline components.
Requirements
- Proficiency developing with Kotlin/JVM or Java.
- Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong ownership, precision, communication, collaboration, and long-term focus on quality.
- Compiler development experience is a plus.
- Gradle plugin development experience is advantageous.
- Experience optimizing JVM application performance is advantageous.
