Responsibilities
- Design platform features and propose solutions through RFCs in collaboration with stakeholders and the team.
- Develop Go-based backend services, plugin frameworks, CLI tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and potentially React frontend functionality.
- Create and maintain curated Markdown documentation for users, AI agents, maintainers, and on-call staff.
- Operate the platform with a focus on reliability, operational excellence, vigilance, and on-call support.
- Support data platform users by understanding their needs and guiding them toward approved platform paths.
- Review and secure agent-assisted code to maintain robust, trustworthy systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or platforms.
- Deep experience with Go and willingness to work with Python or other languages as needed.
- Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong foundational understanding of networking and security best practices.
- Familiarity with data platform architecture, columnar databases or storage, and MPP engines.
- Passion for developer experience and ability to balance user needs with technical and platform constraints.
- Ability to use agentic coding workflows while rigorously evaluating and securing generated code.
