Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver scalable software systems used across more than 70 countries.
- Lead backend engineering for distributed payment systems using Java, Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
- Own services end-to-end, including infrastructure automation and continuous deployment.
- Define and execute unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design to software development.
- Build secure and resilient systems using secure coding practices.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across multi-region distributed microservices platforms.
- Drive operational excellence through on-call standards, reliability engineering, and observability.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering software systems in complex global business domains, particularly fintech or payments.
- Deep backend engineering expertise with a strong preference for distributed-systems experience.
- Hands-on mastery of Java, Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
- Experience with automation, continuous deployment, and reliability-focused engineering ownership.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail.
