Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based components for the credit risk model lifecycle.
  • Re-engineer the model production engine and supporting code from SAS to Python while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement model logic and integrate it into production systems in collaboration with quantitative model developers.
  • Support model implementation, production, monitoring, and Model Operations.
  • Optimize code for efficiency, scalability, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Design and implement automated workflows for data processing, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain version control, documentation, and software development best practices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and risk teams to support implementation and delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in software development, data analytics, or related roles, preferably in financial services, banking, or credit risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative or technical field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, or engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade applications.
  • Proficiency in Git or similar version control tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred qualifications include SAS experience and experience with quantitative model development or validation.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with software engineering principles, design patterns, testing, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automation and orchestration tools, Bash scripting, SQL, relational databases, and large-scale data-processing performance optimization.
