Base Salary
$140k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build customer-facing Android features for the software embedded on Peloton Bikes, Treads, and Rows.
- Iterate on team processes, technology, and communication.
- Translate Product, UX, and UI requirements into code implementations.
- Profile Android UI, memory, and threading performance.
- Evaluate and communicate engineering solutions and trade-offs.
- Manage complex cross-team coordination and work closely with product owners.
- Assist with and grow mid- and junior-level engineers.
- Leverage AI-first coding tools such as Claude Code.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of Android development experience.
- Solid experience interacting with REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of Kotlin, Java, MVVM, MVI, and Android threading and processing.
- Ability to accomplish complex engineering tasks independently and collaborate with UX, design, product, and cross-functional teams.
- B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent years of work experience.
- Preferred experience with automation testing such as Espresso.
- Preferred experience with GitHub projects or open-source contributions.
- Preferred continuous build experience in an Agile environment.
- Preferred experience using gRPC and GraphQL.
