Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable microservice components and Python backend services.
- Design Java service layers and build JavaScript frontend features integrated with backend microservices.
- Write optimized SQL queries and database procedures for reliable, high-performance data access.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and create technical documentation covering service contracts, data flows, configuration, and operational runbooks.
- Write unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to automated testing pipelines.
- Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, validate fixes, and monitor application health using logs, metrics, and dashboards.
- Follow secure development practices for authentication, authorization, encryption, and data handling.
- Apply asset and wealth management concepts when relevant to align solutions with financial domain objectives.
Requirements
- One to three years of professional software engineering experience building production-ready applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python development, including common libraries, frameworks, and structured coding conventions.
- Hands-on Java experience for backend services, including object-oriented design and exception handling.
- Practical JavaScript skills for user interface development, event handling, state management, and API integration.
- Solid SQL knowledge, including query optimization, joins, indexing, and relational data modeling.
- Understanding of microservices fundamentals, including service boundaries, stateless design, interservice communication, and resilience patterns.
- Familiarity with source control workflows, continuous integration tools, and automated build and deployment concepts.
- Clear communication with technical and nontechnical partners and a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous learning.
- Exposure to asset and wealth management processes is desirable.
